The Tamil National Alliance (TNA), yesterday, said that it would have discussions with all presidential candidates before deciding to support one of them at the Nov 16 presidential election.
TNA MP M.A. Sumanthiran, addressing media after a meeting with party activists in Jaffna, said that his party had decided to talk to each and every candidate individually before making a final decision on its stance at the forthcoming presidential poll.
Sumanthiran, PC, said that they would ask each candidate what his or her stand on the national question would be. The candidates would be asked to outline their proposals for fulfilling the aspirations of the Tamil people, in the North and the East. The TNA, thereafter, would make a decision, he said.
