Namal abandons SLFP and joins SLPF! Prime Minister to meet elections from Pohottuwa!
Former Parliamentarian Namal Rajapakshe via a twitter message states that he will be joining the Sri Lanka People’s Front (SLPF).
Although all former parliamentarians representing the Joint Opposition, including Mahinda Rajapakshe and his family, acted on course of the SLPF, the party was not on an official approval. That is because they had represented the Parliament through the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA).
Mahinda Rajapakshe more likely will contest for the upcoming election through the SLPF. Many reports regarding the scene had been made during the past few days. Namal Rajapakshe’s statement on joining the SLPF further confirms it.
