A senior Police Officer told this paper that Rajapaksa had sought a fresh date to appear before the CID through his lawyer.
Yoshitha Rajapaksa had been summoned to the CID to record a statement from him related to a probe being conducted into a jeep belonging to the Siriliya Saviya organization that has been featured in the Wasim Thajudeen murder case.
Wasim Thajudeen was found dead inside a burning car in Colombo in May 2012. The case was initially ruled an accident, the BBC says, but reopened this year over allegations that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s youngest son Yoshitha — with whom Thajudeen was reportedly in a dispute over a mutual love interest — had him killed.
But the case was reopened earlier this year after claims that Mr Rajapaksa’s security officials killed Thajudeen. Thajudeen is said to have been in a dispute over a woman at the time of his death with Mr Rajapaksa’s son Yoshitha. police have now cited post-mortem reports saying his body had torture marks, as well as broken teeth and bones.
After initially ruling Thajudeen’s death an accident under Rajapaksha government, which was a common way of killing of Tamil MP’s, Journalists who wrote the truth and Human Right workers by the Rajapaksha’s state sponsored
Secret military death squad working for armed forces who drove freely in the famous ‘White Vans’ in the city and the court judges ruling was that it was always a accident or investigated for years and closed saying ‘lack of evidence’.
The local local court judges are compelled to support and rule in favour of government sponsored Secret military death squad a known state terrorism or their family members will be next targets by the White Van.
The Tamils are asking for International judges in the War crime cases due to the history of Sri Lankan governments abusive culture of asking the court judges to rule in favour of the government goons.
Rajapaksha family members not cooperating to bring the truth towards the killings of Tamil MP’s, Journalists, Human Right Workers and it is claimed that the support to Rajapaksha family by the current Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe to cover up these acts and financial frauds prove that the Sri Lankan Judges are unable to do anything against the the current government members as they were unable to give an honest ruling under Rajapaksha government.
Which is why the Tamils are claiming for International judges to probe the killing of more than 40000 Tamil Civilians and more than 1000 LTTE leaders and their family members who surrendered with White Flag after UN negotiated the surrender.
